Lecture 21:- Block vs Inline Elements

Block elements are HTML elements that create a rectangular block that takes up the full width of its parent container and create a new line after the element. Examples include <div>, <p>, <h1>, <ul>, <li>.

Inline elements are HTML elements that only take up as much width as necessary and do not create a new line after the element. Examples include <span>, <a>, <strong>, <em>.

Block elements can contain both block and inline elements, while inline elements can only contain other inline elements. The display property in CSS can be used to change the default behavior of an element from block to inline or vice versa.
