Lecture 355:- Edge Case - Replacing an Avatar

Yes, replacing an avatar is an edge case that needs to be handled carefully. When a user uploads a new avatar, the old avatar needs to be deleted and replaced with the new one. Here are the steps to handle this edge case:

When the user uploads a new avatar, save it to a temporary file on the server.
Retrieve the user's existing avatar from the database and delete the file from the server.
Save the new avatar to the database and move the temporary file to the final destination on the server.
Send a success message to the user.

It's important to handle this edge case to ensure that the server doesn't get cluttered with old avatar files and to prevent any errors that may arise from having multiple avatar files for a single user.
