Lecture 202:- More Properties around Prototype

There are a few properties that are related to prototypes in JavaScript:

1. __proto__: This is a non-standard property that is used to get or set the prototype of an object. It is not recommended to use this property in production code as it is not part of the official JavaScript specification. Instead, you can use the Object.getPrototypeOf() and Object.setPrototypeOf() methods to get and set the prototype of an object, respectively.
2. prototype: This is a property that is used in constructor functions to define the prototype of objects created by that constructor. Any functions or properties added to the prototype property of a constructor will be available on objects created by that constructor.
3. Object.getPrototypeOf(): This is a method that returns the prototype of an object.
4. Object.setPrototypeOf(): This is a method that sets the prototype of an object to the specified prototype.
5. instanceof: This is an operator that is used to test whether an object is an instance of a particular constructor. It works by checking whether the object's prototype is equal to the prototype property of the constructor.
6. Object.prototype: This is the prototype object that is inherited by all objects in JavaScript. It contains common methods and properties that are available on all objects, such as toString(), valueOf(), and hasOwnProperty().
