Lecture 51:- Display Property

The display property in CSS is used to specify the display behavior of an HTML element. It determines how the element is displayed on the web page, whether it is block-level or inline, whether it creates a new block formatting context, etc.

The following are the most commonly used display values:

  • block: The element will start on a new line and take up the full width of its parent container. Block-level elements have a line break before and after them.
  • inline: The element will only take up as much width as necessary, and will not create a new line before or after itself.
  • inline-block: The element will be placed inline with other elements, but will still allow you to specify a width and height for the element.
  • none: The element will not be displayed on the web page.

Here's an example of how to set a div element to block display:

cssCopy code

div {  display: block; }
