Lecture 7:- HTML Page Structure

HTML page structure refers to the organization of content and elements within an HTML document. A typical HTML page structure consists of the following components:

  1. DOCTYPE Declaration: This is the first line in an HTML document and declares the type of document. For HTML5, it is <!DOCTYPE html>.
  2. HTML Root Element: This is the main container for all other HTML elements on the page and is defined using the <html> tag.
  3. Head: This section contains meta information about the document, such as the title, description, and keywords, which are used by search engines and browsers. It is defined using the <head> tag.
  4. Body: This section contains the main content of the web page, such as text, images, and links. It is defined using the <body> tag.
  5. Header: This section contains the header or masthead of the web page, including the logo and main navigation. It is defined using the <header> tag.
  6. Main Content: This section contains the main content of the document, such as articles, blog posts, and other text. It is defined using the <main> tag.
  7. Footer: This section contains the footer or bottom of the web page, including the copyright notice and additional navigation. It is defined using the <footer> tag.

Each of these components can contain additional HTML elements, such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images, and more. The HTML structure provides a framework for organizing content and making it accessible to both users and search engines.
