Lecture 389:- Summarizing Relationships
In this project, we have worked with various relationships between the entities in the database. Here is a summary of the relationships we have used:
- One-to-One Relationship: A one-to-one relationship is where one record in a table is associated with one and only one record in another table. We have used this relationship between the users and their profile picture where each user has only one profile picture.
- One-to-Many Relationship: A one-to-many relationship is where one record in a table can be associated with one or many records in another table. We have used this relationship between the users and their posts where each user can have many posts.
- Many-to-Many Relationship: A many-to-many relationship is where many records in a table can be associated with many records in another table. We have used this relationship between the users and their friends where each user can have many friends.
- Polymorphic Relationship: A polymorphic relationship is where one model can belong to multiple other models on a single association. We have used this relationship between the posts and their likes where both users and comments can like a post.
By understanding and implementing these relationships, we have been able to create a complex and functional web application with robust data modeling.
